TOEFL® iTP Test – Test of English as a Foreign Language

The TOEFL® sets global standards in the assessment of academic English language proficiency. The TOEFL® iTP test is part of the TOEFL® test family and serves schools, universities and other organisations as a flexible, cost-effective and reliable tool for assessing listening and reading comprehension, including knowledge of academic English grammar. More than 8,000 colleges and universities in 90 countries now require it as an entry requirement. The TOEFL ITP® test is identical to the old TOEFL® PBT (paper-based test) in terms of structure and scoring scale; it assesses the two skills of listening and reading.

Even if you have a good prior knowledge of English, the difficulty level of the TOEFL iTP test is often underestimated: for many Master’s programmes and business schools, you need at least 543 out of a possible 677 points; this corresponds to language levels B2 or C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
